Syracuse’s Babers shakes up coaching staff
SYRACUSE — Syracuse University football coach Dino Babers announced shakeups to his coaching staff late last week, shifting responsibilities for five of his assistant coaches.
Mike Lynch has been elevated to offensive coordinator and running backs coach, and assistant head coach Kim McCloud will mentor the Orange’s cornerbacks.
Justin Lustig continues as SU’s special teams coordinator and will also now coach the outside receivers, tight ends coach Reno Ferri will add overseeing inside receivers to his duties, and Nick Monroe will guide the SU safeties.
The Orange begins spring practice next month and is expecting 16 starters back from last year’s team that finished 4-8 overall and 2-6 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
