Championship week college football bets, expert picks, odds: Parlay of the week includes ACC title game

Beating college football’s championship week starts with the man who programs SportsLine’s Projection Model, data scientist Stephen Oh. Those who have been on following Oh’s picks have been cashing in all season. The analyst and Accuscore co-founder is on a 33-21 run over the last 54 college football games picks, a rock-solid 61 percent clip.

Oh has released his top college football picks for Week 14 over at SportsLine. Putting these three in a parlay will return a huge 6-1 payout. If you bet $100 on it, you would make $600. Sounds like a good weekend prior to bowl season.

We’ll give one away: Oh believes Miami (Fla.) rebounds from its loss at Pittsburgh to cover a 9.5-point spread against Clemson in the ACC Championship game.

The Hurricanes were one win from an unbeaten regular season, but the offense couldn’t get going in a 24-14 loss at Pitt.

The defeat crushed the College Football Playoff hopes of the Canes, but it doesn’t end the remarkable turnaround that coach Mark Richt has done in just his second season in Miami. A marquee bowl berth and the team’s first ACC title are at stake.

Saturday’s loss notwithstanding, the Hurricanes have been one of the most consistent teams in the country, but they had taken their dominance up a notch in recent weeks.

QB Malik Rosier has thrown 25 TDs against just nine INTs. The run game has accounted for 17 TDs and averages 164.7 yards per contest.

Clemson also has just one loss on its schedule, a shocking 27-24 defeat against a Syracuse team that finished dead-last in the ACC Coastal Division.

Since that surprising outcome, the Tigers have won five in a row, including a dominant 34-10 win at No. 24 South Carolina last Saturday. Their defense has allowed more than 21 points just twice, and seven times their opponent has scored 14 or fewer. The unit ranks 14th in rushing yards allowed (113.6) and ninth in passing yards allowed (169.7).

Clemson’s offense is second to only Louisville in points per game in the ACC (35.2).

It is expected to be a competitive game, but Oh and his projections have spotted ways Miami can not only hang with favored Clemson, but win the ACC title outright. Those projections — which simulate each game 10,000 times — show the Hurricanes covering 61 percent of the time.

Oh has also identified a road team not getting nearly the respect it deserves, and an over/under line that’s way, way off. He’s sharing those two nuggets over at SportsLine.

So what are the three college football picks that Oh is confident could return a huge 6/1 payout in this conference championship week if you parlay them together? Visit SportsLine now to see which line the oddsmakers have completely wrong, and which home team is getting too many points, all from the expert on an astonishing 33-21 run on his college football selections!
